Carolina Carpet Solutions – Service Terms & Limitations

Thank you for scheduling your cleaning service. By booking or approving an estimate, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below. These guidelines help ensure safe, effective cleaning and clear expectations for every visit.

1. Scope of Services

Carolina Carpet Solutions provides professional carpet and upholstery cleaning services using industry‑standard methods. These terms apply to all current and future services unless replaced by a newer version.

The customer understands that:

  • Cleaning results vary based on fiber type, age, condition, and previous treatments.

  • Some issues cannot be fully corrected through cleaning alone.

  • The customer may inspect the work upon completion and notify the technician of any concerns.

2. Client Preparation Requirements

To ensure safe and effective cleaning, the customer agrees to prepare the home before the technician arrives:

  • Remove personal items from floors and furniture to be cleaned

  • Remove breakables from furniture that may need to be moved

  • Secure pets away from cleaning areas

  • Ensure water is turned on at the property

  • Provide access to all areas scheduled for cleaning

  • Ensure no painting is being performed in carpeted areas

  • Remove mattresses/box springs if under‑bed cleaning is desired

  • Understand that Carolina Carpet Solutions does not move:

    • Mechanical/adjustable beds

    • Pianos

    • Large entertainment centers

    • Aquariums

    • Any furniture deemed unsafe or unstable to move

If the property is not prepared, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and a trip fee may apply.

3. Cleaning Limitations (Carpet & Upholstery)

All textiles vary in age, construction, dye stability, and previous cleaning history. As a result, certain conditions may limit the results that can be achieved.

Limitations include, but are not limited to:

  • Pre‑existing wear, thinning, fraying, or weakened fibers

  • Sun fading, discoloration, or shading

  • Wicking of deep stains after cleaning

  • Browning or yellowing from age or previous chemical exposure

  • Texture changes in delicate or natural fabrics

  • Filtration lines, dye stains, paint, ink, rust, and long‑set organic stains

  • Upholstery with unstable dyes or “X‑only” cleaning tags

  • Padding (carpet or furniture) that may hold odors or stains

Cleaning may reveal pre‑existing damage or wear that was not visible before service. Carolina Carpet Solutions is not responsible for issues caused by age, fragility, manufacturer defects, or pre‑existing conditions.

4. Stain Treatment Limitations

Some stains cannot be fully removed, including but not limited to:

  • Dye stains

  • Paint

  • Ink

  • Rust

  • Filtration lines

  • Long‑set organic stains

Aggressive stain removal may risk discoloration or fiber damage. Carolina Carpet Solutions is not responsible for stains that do not fully remove or for discoloration caused by previous chemical reactions.

5. Pet Urine Treatment Limitations

Pet urine can penetrate:

  • Carpet fibers

  • Carpet backing

  • Padding

  • Tack strips

  • Subflooring

No cleaning method can guarantee complete removal of urine, odor, or staining. Odors may temporarily increase during and after cleaning. Severe contamination may require:

  • Carpet replacement

  • Pad replacement

  • Subfloor sealing

Carolina Carpet Solutions is not responsible for recurring odors, wicking stains, or discoloration caused by pet urine.

6. Damage Disclosure

The customer agrees to disclose any known or suspected issues, including:

  • Loose seams or ripples

  • Delamination

  • Pet damage

  • Water damage

  • Mold concerns

  • Fragile furniture

  • Loose transitions

  • Upholstery concerns

Cleaning may reveal or worsen pre‑existing damage. Carolina Carpet Solutions is not responsible for damage resulting from pre‑existing or undisclosed conditions.

7. After‑Cleaning Safety & Drying

  • Carpets and upholstery may remain damp for several hours.

  • Use caution when stepping from damp carpet onto hard surfaces.

  • Running HVAC fans, ceiling fans, and exhaust fans is recommended to speed drying.

  • Furniture should not be returned to damp carpet unless protective tabs are used.

8. Payments & Fees

  • Invoices are emailed after service.

  • Accepted payment methods: online card payment, Zelle, Venmo, cash, or check.

  • Returned checks incur a $25 fee.

  • A $75 trip charge applies if the technician cannot access the property or the customer is not present.

9. Master Agreement Clause

These terms apply to all services performed by Carolina Carpet Solutions from today forward, including future carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, and specialty treatments, unless replaced by a newer version.
